Everything you need to know about the Coronavirus
Coronavirus now affects the entire world and every individual is called upon to make sacrifices to slow its spread
1. Prevention
Take care of your immune system
Current advice is, if you experience the typical cold-like symptoms, stay at home and self- quarantine.
Support others health by maintaining social distance, and be aware of your health. Understand a robust immune system will help you deal with the virus if you come into contact with it.
2. Symptoms
What are the symptoms
Typical symptoms are dry cough, shortness of breath, and fever. After infection, it can take up to 14 days before symptoms and signs become apparent, and this is considered a reasonable amount of time to isolate from others if you suspect you are infected or have come into contact with someone who is.
3. Causes
How does the virus spread
The virus is transmitted by droplet infection via the mucous membranes or indirectly via contaminated hands that come into contact with the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose, and eyes. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 93% of those infected will most likely have mild symptoms and a mild course of the disease, but in some cases, it can lead to death.
4. Subjects at risk
Who is particularly affected
People most at risk include older people and those with a generally weakened immune system or who have previous illnesses such as heart failure, lung diseases, diabetes. In these cases, the infection could become very serious, and medical attention should be sort early. Others can help protect these people by avoiding social contact.
5. Myths about COVID-19
What does not help against the virus*
The myths about preventing COVID-19 are persistent. According to the WHO, ordinary protective masks do not protect against infection – they would give a false sense of security, neglecting essential measures (such as careful hand hygiene). Alcohol-based disinfectants need to have at least 60% alcohol to be effective. Thorough hand washing and adherence to the labeled instructions are generally sufficient.
6. Boost your immune system
What you can do to support your immune system
- Boost your immune system with infusions
- Actively support your immune system with supplements
- Stay active (physical exercise strengthens your immune system)
- Eat healthy (Vitamins and versatile cooking)
- Sufficient sleep and relaxation

How can I minimize risk?
As with seasonal flu, the following measures are recommended
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds several times a day
If you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (not with your hands) or sneeze into the crook of your arm
Dispose of the tissue immediately and then wash your hands
Avoid direct contact with the sick and older adults
