The over-expression of TKTL1 is associated with the switch in metabolic pathway from oxidative to non-oxidative in tumours.
Lange et al, 2012.

The normal range for TKTL1 score is <119.

The elevated TKTL1 score of 131 suggests that it is likely to be a malignant tumour.

Malignant tumour cells usually divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE, 2018

High concentration of Epstein Barr Virus.

American Cancer Society, 2016

Patient’s natural killer (NK) cells are normal, which can undergo stimulation.

The normal reference of EBV is below 3000 Kop/ml.

Patient’s concentration of Epstein Barr Virus is found very high in patient’s saliva. It is 7.7 times more than the maximum for normal people. This type of virus encourages tumour development.
